Montefolchi is probably the spot with the best view in the whole Chianti area near Florence.It is situated on top of a hill with a wonferful view which on clear days embraces the countryside all the way to the Appennins.It was originally an Etruscan village, as the 7th century B.C. findings have demonstrated.
The holiday home is a portion of the farmhouse that looks on its private garden with its own "aia" (threshing-floor) where you can enjoy the spectacular sunsets while dining outdoors.The entrance from the garden leads up the stairs to a large kitchen with a large old fireplace. The rooms of the house have been tastefully restored maintaining the original structure of the "casa colonica" and with care for all modern conveniences.
